Brother Jay
The Man that "God" Brought back from "Crack"

Brother Jay is no stranger to music, the music industry has just been a stranger to him. For music has been living in his heart and soul for many years and you can feel and hear this in his music. It's all in his sound called "Soul Gospel". A combination of everything he's ever heard and felt through his life, from Rhythm and Blues, to Jazz, Gospel and all that other stuff .He is sort of like a "Diamond in the Rough" or an unknown star that no one ever noticed except God and a few friends.
Brother Jay was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where he first started in Gospel singing and directing the choir at "The House of David". He won his first talent show at the age of 12 doing a James Brown impersonation, and he knew then that this was his calling from God...Music, Music, Music. His mother moved him to Florida at aged 16, where he started playing Bass. And within 3 months, he was so good that he started doing gigs. After becoming an adult, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he was the musician for several churches and was on the nightclub circuit doing Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, even Rock music.
Returning to Florida and after growing deeper and discovering his writing talents, he built his own studio and began concentrating on writing and producing his own music. Somehow in spite of his determination, he managed to associate himself with the wrong people. Somehow the entrapment of his life and talent were fizzled by drugs and alcohol, and he felt that his life was of no purpose or cause. Homelessness, shelters, rehabilitation centers and death drifted over his life for 8 years, before he got his breakthrough from God.
In a crack house, the Lord revealed to him that he was in the Devil's Den and it was time to go. And as he walked out the door at 1:30 in the morning, "GOD" gave him a new song called "This Is Your Life, Do You Know Who You Are?" Ever since that time, the struggle has been tough, but Brother Jay has been hanging on in there, and on his way UP, writing and singing with a purpose and a cause. So that your heart, mind and Soul will be touched to realize that miracles are available to each and every one of us and that God does answer prayers.
